The Daschle v. Thune blog is a must read, at least a few times a week. Things are not looking especially promising for Mr. Daschle. On the heels of Thune nearly taking out Tim Johnson last election cycle, the RNC and the GOP in South Dakota is smelling blood. And rightly so.

The special election to replace Bill Janklow, who was convicted of manslaughter and forced to resign, has resulted in another Republican victory. Stephanie Herseth has succeeded Janklow. More details here.
