The Tennessean had favorable coverage of the anniversary / fundraiser for Tennessee Tax Revolt.

It was a good event. Sarah and I were there. We co-sponsored the event, and I spoke briefly as the Tennessee Young Republican representative, though I was certainly eclipsed by the presence of the incomparable Congressman Marsha Blackburn, Steve Gill, and Phil Valentine, among others.

For those not from Tennessee, Tennessee Tax Revolt is an organization of citizens who have banded together and fought back a state income tax on numerous occasions. They are, without exception, democracy in action. And you know, it works.

If it hadn't been for Ben Cunningham , It probably would have been a long time before we would have heard about TnTaxRevolt.

Our County Commission in several counties in Tennessee have gotten to the point that they act as if citizens are so ignorant that they do not need to be considered when voicing their opinion, especially if it isn't the same as theirs!!
