Well, barely July. But my hopes for the NHL next year are high. Having lived in Washington for three years, I became a regular Washington Caps fan. To see the team as I knew it liquidate, dissolve, and implode, messily, was disappointing.

The future looks a little brighter. Maybe the liquidation and utter collapse was a ploy to get the first draft pick? If so, it worked.
