I know, from a history of what I like to consider rather acute observation, that the Democratic Party is especially skilled at saying two things at once, or having things both ways, all ways, and any way. In short, their normal operating procedures are embodied in a sort of perverse political deviancy.

This deviancy knows no bounds, and has made itself known in the realm of national security on a repeated basis. For instance, when the administration first increased the colored alert system from yellow or orange, critics on the left (read also, "media") complained that there weren't enough details. Three weeks ago, extreme details were provided about specific targets, but the warning was derided once it was discovered some older intelligence was used, despite common knowledge that the 9/11 attacks took years to plan. To add insult to injury, the Kerry campaign's surrogates have been insinuating that terror alerts are now politically motivated.

My point is this - take a side! Such a contemptuous holding of national security should be noted, and noted repeatedly.
