The battle in Najaf is coming to a head. Not being there, it's hard to tell what's happening on the ground, but it either seems that our rules of engagement have been relaxed, or the insurgents are fighting to the bitter end. Either way, many pro-Saddamites will be dead, and Iraq will be better off for it.

Though I must criticize our heavy handedness in the city. It was heartless of us to take control of a cemetary. They'll probably need it.
