Apparently, the theocrats in Iran have been replaced with neoconservatives.

"We will not sit (with arms folded) to wait for what others will do to us. Some military commanders in Iran are convinced that preventive operations which the Americans talk about are not their monopoly," Shamkhani told Al-Jazeera TV when asked if Iran would respond to an American attack on its nuclear facilities.

Ah well. Will the bluster matter? Likely not. Not with Bush and Sharon at the respective helms (Shamkhani goes on to blast Israel as an "evil entity" later in the article). A preemptive strike by Iran would warrant the complete destruction of the Iranian regime. I know the mullahs are crazy, but they've not shown a tendency to be suicidal.
