I am initially disturbed by the refusal of soldiers, Sgt. Larry McCook and his men, to follow orders. I'm not a military man, but I understand the purposes behind discipline and obedience when in combat.

Then again, if our guys are not fully prepped, there's a mitigating factor.

But not mitigating enough, I think - one man's refusal doesn't keep the mission from occurring, it just means someone else gets to go in harm's way in his place.

Which is worse? The ordering of a difficult mission, or the failure to obey that order and the placing of another where you were ordered to be?

I'd follow the order.
