The French have apparently signed a secret treaty with the Iraqi insurgents.

Add to this the recent bizarre phrase from French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin. The head of the Figaro press group went to see him about the kidnapping of two French journalists in Iraq; Raffarin assured him they would soon be freed, reportedly saying, "The Iraqi insurgents are our best allies."

It's not quite the Triple Alliance, but clearly it is a double faced one.

And when they phrase such things as "reportedly said" that's just a big legal loop-hole that means, "he may, or may not, have said" It's an unethical style of reporting and most upstanding journalists stay away from such slimyness.

Please, take the time to really varify what a someone says before taking it as fact.
