10/14/2004 01:25:12 PM|||Sarah|||Elizabeth Edwards had the following reaction to Lynne Cheney's understanding indignation at the use of her daughter by Kerry during the debate (that sentence is my ode to prepositions!):
"She's overreacted to this and treated it as if it's shameful to have this discussion. I think that's a very sad state of affairs… I think that it indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences… It makes me really sad that that's Lynne's response."
If I was Lynne Cheney, I would be LIVID at this comment. My response would be something like, "How DARE you assert that I am ashamed of my daughter! I just get defensive when my child is used as a political pander by Senator Kerry. He does not know my daughter and he should not speak for her.
